The Best Live Music Bars in Hong Kong

DarkSide is Rosewood Hong Kong’s sultry jazz sanctuary on Kowloon’s “dark side,” with plush aesthetics, rare aged spirits, cigars, and nightly live jazz—perfect for sophisticated evenings overlooking Victoria Harbour.

Dive into a spell-binding underground wonderland on Hollywood Road: vintage swing meets industrial fantasy at The Iron Fairies, where cocktails are theatrical, live music is soulful, and the décor is pure enchantment.

Step into The Pontiac, Hong Kong’s unapologetically gritty dive bar—rock‑‘n’‑roll energy, cold beers, dangling bras, and rowdy jukebox anthems await. It’s the freedom to let loose, no judgment, just pure, electric nightlife.

Hidden beneath a red door in Sai Ying Pun, Ping Pong 129 is a Spanish-style gin & tonic bar with tapas, art exhibitions, live music & a nostalgic past as a ping-pong house. A sleek, creative after-work escape.

Hidden behind a hatch-like door in Central, Salon No. 10 is an intimate, artsy member’s salon with curved, cave‑like interiors, jazzy nights, and eclectic creative curation—where Hong Kong’s cultural crowd converges in style.

Step through the understated umbrella shop door to discover Foxglove—a 1950s-inspired speakeasy with vintage jet-engine flair, plush leather lounges, intimate jazz nights, and theatrical cocktails served from an antique martini cart.

A tropical-mirage speakeasy upstairs at Eaton HK where cocktails brim with herbaceous flair, indie beats pulse through the terrace and every hour feels like a secret celebration.
