Teens of Thailand
Tucked away in a traditional shophouse on Soi Nana, Bangkok’s Teens of Thailand opened in 2015 and quickly became a local favorite—and a gin-lover’s mecca. Stepping through those hefty wooden doors, you enter a retro-chic hideaway where propped concrete walls, old Thai film posters, and the hum of an analog playlist set the tone. With room for just around 15 seated guests (plus standing room), the bar’s intimacy feels deliberate and inviting. The heart of the bar? Gin—lots of it. You'll find a well-curated collection featuring rotating “gin of the week” specials, and house-infused gin concoctions using local ingredients like Thai tea, chrysanthemum, jackfruit, and salted guava. These are elevated into creative gin & tonics, often served Spanish-style in wine goblets, alongside revered staples like Negroni, Aviation, Dry Martini, and Corpse Reviver. Beyond the cocktails, the vibe shines. Trendy locals, expats, and cocktail aficionados intermingle over smooth conversation. Guests praise the bartenders’ expertise and warmth—many say they return just as much for the hospitality as the drinks. Teens of Thailand also helped put Soi Nana on the map, anchoring a wave of hip bars and creative energy that transformed the alley’s reputation from dusty to decidedly cool. Founder Niks Anuman-Rajadhon’s influence extends beyond the bar—he later co-launched Asia Today, helping shape Bangkok’s modern cocktail scene.
