Find The Locker Room
Tucked behind a wall of steel lockers on Thonglor's bustling Sukhumvit Soi 55, Find The Locker Room delivers one of Bangkok's most playful and refined drinking experiences. Enter through a narrow, unmarked passage, and you'll find a dimly lit, two-level speakeasy dedicated to the art of cocktails—with 25 seats upstairs and an intimate 8–12-seat “Remy Bar” downstairs. Launched in 2017 and refreshed in a new location in 2018, the bar is the brainchild of a dream team of Asia’s elite bartenders—including Colin Chia (Singapore), Hidetsugu Ueno (Tokyo), Nick Wu (Taipei), and local legends Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn and Chennarong “Jan” Bhumichitr—all guided by head bartender Fahbeer Sopajaree. The cocktail program pivots around its “Past • Present • Future” concept. Every classic—like the Bloody Mary, Pina Colada, Rob Roy, or Sidecar—is reinvented three ways: Past preserves the classic spirit under Ueno’s hand. Present reinterprets with modern tweaks by Wu and Chia. Future ventures into avant-garde territory under Neung’s creative lead. Iconic examples include the mezcal-based Bloodless Maria, which mimics tomato flavor in a clear, miso-rimmed glass; The Harakiri, a tequila twist on the Bloody Mary with tomato, plum liqueur, green tea syrup, and spices. The bar also embraces theatrical flair: Chomp Magazine highlights the “Time Capsule” series—nostalgic menus inspired by pop culture eras. Think bold creations like Iconic (a smoky 90s-styled milk punch crowned with blue apple foam) and Bougie Princess (2000s decadence in a glass). Open daily from 18:00 to late, this hidden gem serves cocktails at an accessible bang-for-your-buck rate (averaging ~$10 USD per drink). It remains true to the speakeasy ethos—not always easy to find, intentionally mystifying, but rich in cocktail craftsmanship and storytelling.
