Orient Express Cocktail Bar
Step through the navy-and-brass façade on Carrer del Comte d’Urgell and you’ll board “La Estación,” a bar-top rail yard where a 1:22-scale locomotive shuttles drinks along a glowing track. Staff clad in vintage caps hand you a “passport” menu: stamp your preferred spirit, flavour profile and garnish, then watch the bartenders build your cocktail and dispatch it by train. The décor—old-school luggage racks, enamel destination boards and retro wall clocks—evokes the golden age of the Orient Express, while LED “windows” project rolling scenery to complete the illusion. Across the corridor, “El Vagón” recreates an art-deco carriage with plush banquettes for slower, sit-down service. More than 30 signatures (think Athens-style gin with honeyed olive oil or a smoky Istanbul mezcal sour) sit beside customised classics; prices run €12 for revisited favourites up to €18 for show-piece specials, with NA options only €15. Expect jazz-funk playlists, a sociable crowd of locals and visitors, and a two-hour seat limit at peak times—reservations via the website are wise. The bar opens daily from 18:00 (16:00 weekends) and closes around 02:30, though last call for the locomotive comes 30 minutes prior.
