ICEBAR Stockholm by ICEHOTEL is the world’s first permanent icebar, rebuilt every year – always with a new theme. The interior is carved out of 40 tons of natural ice from the Torne River by ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL. ICEBAR has been a popular attraction in Stockholm since the opening in 2002 and attracts both tourists and locals who want a slice of the Arctic North in downtown Stockholm. ICEBAR Stockholm is rebuilt each year by skilled ice artists from ICEHOTEL – a world famous hotel and art exhibition made of ice and snow. Founded in 1989, it is reborn in a new shape every winter, in the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi – 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. The Torne River, the arts, and creating a setting for life-enriching moments are at the heart of it all.
