Hidden Bar at Rosewood Abu Dhabi is a stylish, semi-secret cocktail lounge that balances refined sophistication with relaxed ambience. Situated on Al Maryah Island, it is part of the Rosewood’s bar & dining portfolio. The bar leans heavily into its identity as a gin destination. It houses a large gin library (200+ gins and numerous house infusions) and presents craft cocktails that often center on gin or botanical contrasts. In fact, one of their signature experiences is a Negroni trolley — a curated Negroni tasting journey at the table. While the name suggests secrecy, Hidden Bar is relatively accessible — located just off the hotel lobby (behind a set of elegant doors) — yet retains an air of discovery. The atmosphere is warm and moody: plush seating, soft lighting, and an indoor lounge opening onto an outdoor terrace with views over the canal / water and surrounding skyline. The food & snack side is modest but refined. The bar serves bar bites, tapas-style small plates, appetizers, pizzas, and desserts, curated to pair with the cocktail program. Chef Liborio (Rosewood’s executive chef) is credited with driving the new menu refresh, integrating cold & hot appetizers, oysters, carpaccio, and more. Hidden Bar also programs live music and jazz nights (for example, the Boom.Diwan Kuwaiti jazz band plays bi-monthly) to enhance its late evening ambiance. In May 2025, the bar underwent a refreshed relaunch / makeover. The aesthetic updates involved more elegant lighting, refreshed interiors, and a refined but inviting lounge feel — all while preserving its hidden-door character and terrace views.
